The Western 10kW Solar Tracking System is installed with 48 Heliene 245W mono-crystalline solar panels, a 10kW FRONIUS inverter, all required fasteners, slew drives, aluminum mounting rails, tracker pole and rack system, pole mounted weather proof & tamper proof cabinet with Allen Bradley PLC motor control with an isolation switch, Luft weather station, a hidden concrete reinforced foundation, combination meter base with circuit breaker and maximum of 100 feet of direct burial cable to run between the tracker pole and the meter base.

Solar energy yield increases in part-load areas if smaller power stacks are operated at higher capacity; therefore, every Fronius IG central inverter works with several smaller power stacks that switch on or off completely and automatically depending on irradiance so that they can always deliver maximum power.

In the unlikely event that within ten years from the original purchase, a problem caused by defects in either workmanship or materials is discovered, Fronius will repair or replace the product.

All components have been thoughtfully designed and assembled with careful consideration towards overall system reliability, long service life, low maintenance and ease of installation. The flexible design accommodates many different PV panel arrangements. The structural system has been developed with stringent design guidelines for a one in 50 year probability major wind storm.

The system will temporally move to a defense position during high winds and will automatically resume tracking positions once winds diminish.

Constant calculation of the sun's position through the motor controller is maintained to within 0.3 degrees as a function of location and time. This tracking system allows photovoltaic panel efficiency to increase yield by 35% to 40% more energy production compared to a fixed panel system.

Western's tracking system comes standard with Fronius inverters with the ability (as an option) for a user-friendly data communications system for PV system monitoring. The hardware components are quick and easy to install and the software is simple to operate. The modular design allows the Fronius inverter to be upgraded at any time. Customized monitoring solutions, from basic equipment to complete system management, can be quickly installed and users can view and manage the performance of their solar power system remotely.
